Dentures,
Removable Prosthetics

As our aging population grows, so does the need for removable prosthetics. At Hilltop dental, Dr. Apelian offers complementary evaluations to all those who suffer from their ill-fitting dentures. There are basically full edentulous patients who require full dentures. Patients with some existing natural dentition do require partial dentures. Dr. Apelian has transformed many unhappy denture wearing patients (with floating teeth), to stable dentures utilizing dental implants, occasionally by placing only two. It is possible to stabilize an existing moving full denture to a stable prosthesis.  This allows an aging patient regain their chewing capabilities, food resorption, acquire better nutrition and live with better health.

Types of Dentures

  • Full Dentures (with hard or soft base).
  • Partial Denture (with hard or soft base).
  • Implant supported full Denture / Overdenture.
  • Requires two or more implants. The Denture snaps directly to the underlying implants.
  • Hybrid Implant Full Denture – All on 4 requires a bar connecting the implants to the overlying denture.

All on 4 or All on 6 Dental Implants – Implant supported Dentures

Dr. Apelian has reservations in rendering a full arch implant supported overdentures to those patients who present with multiple sound dentitions per arch. This alternative treatment is unacceptable so long it requires sacrificing several natural dentitions that are periodontally sound.
